Judge, Stanton, Gregorius, Hicks, Severino, Paxton, and Tulowitzki, are just a few of Yankees’ starters that have found themselves still on the Injured List. That’s not including the likes of Sanchez, Andujar, and Frazier, all of whom have just returned to the active roster, after their brief stints on the Injured List. Yet, somehow, we find the Yankees sitting at a 21-14 record, and are simply competing each and every game, no matter the opponent. Tonight’s game vs the Seattle Mariners should be no different than the first 35 games of this season. The Yankees will be piecing together a lineup, with guys like Gio Urshela and Mike Tauchman taking advantage of their opportunity to get some playing time. Yet, there is nothing leading me to believe that the Yankees won’t win this baseball game.
Jonathan Loaisiga had a strong start to the year before being sent back to AAA, only to make room for CC Sabathia in the rotation. Loaisiga is coming into tonight’s game with a (1-0) record this year, and a 2.70 ERA. As for the Mariners, they are indeed a very talented offensive team, averaging over 5.5 runs per game so far in 2019. Yet, with only a 19-19 record entering into tonight’s, we wonder how the Mariners don’t have a winning record.
The fact is, the Mariners pitching struggles has cost them multiple opportunities to win games already this season. Averaging over 5.4 runs against per game this year, has shown to truly be the teams downside. Tonight’s starting pitcher, Yusei Kikuchi is (1-1) with a 3.98 ERA, showing us no reason to say the team’s high runs against trend is ending tonight. The clear bet for tonight’s game will be the Over 9 runs. Barring a Jonathan Loaisiga career night, the over 9 runs should be the easy play for tonight’s game. For those looking for a bit of an extra wager, the Yankees moneyline should be the play for you and if you don’t have a DraftKings account yet take the instant free bet on a matched deposit through the above link.
